your guide to peptide therapy at Graceology Med Spa in Overland Park, KS

Most people come to us already knowing they want to try peptide therapy. They've done some research, they've heard something from a friend, or they've been feeling off for long enough that they're ready to do something about it. What they usually don't know is where to start because the list of options is long and the internet makes it more confusing than it needs to be.

Here's how we actually think about peptide therapy at Graceology organized around what our clients are trying to accomplish.

If your energy and sleep have quietly gotten worse

This one sneaks up on people. You're not sick. Nothing is technically wrong. You're just not sleeping as deeply, recovering as quickly, or operating at the level you used to and you've started to assume that's just aging.

It might be.

But a lot of it comes down to growth hormone decline, which starts in your 30s and accelerates from there. Sermorelin, Ipamorelin, and CJC-1295 all work to restore your body's own growth hormone production not by adding synthetic HGH, but by stimulating your pituitary gland to produce more of its own.

Better sleep, faster recovery, improved body composition, more stable energy. These are the peptides clients come back for. Ibutamoren (MK-677) does similar work. NAD+ sits in its own category here. It's a coenzyme that lives in every cell of your body and drives energy production at the most fundamental level. NAD+ levels drop significantly with age, and the effects show up as fatigue, brain fog, and a general sense that your battery doesn't charge the way it used to. Replenishing it is one of the most foundational things you can do for how you feel day to day.

If you're focused on weight and body composition

There's a lot of noise in this space, so we'll be direct about how we approach it.

Semaglutide and Tirzepatide are the most well-known options, and they work. They reduce appetite, improve insulin sensitivity, and support meaningful weight loss when combined with nutrition and lifestyle changes. Tirzepatide hits two receptor pathways instead of one, which tends to produce stronger results. Both are prescription-based and managed carefully.

For clients whose goals are more targeted specifically, visceral fat and body composition rather than overall weight loss, we have peptides that work differently. AOD 9604 targets fat breakdown without the hormonal effects of full HGH. Tesamorelin has particular evidence for reducing deep abdominal fat. MOTS-C supports insulin sensitivity and fat oxidation at the mitochondrial level. We combine these for clients who are already doing the fundamentals right and want a more precise tool.

Phentermine, Tesofensine, and SLU-PP-332 round out the weight management side each working through different mechanisms on appetite suppression, energy expenditure, and metabolic conditioning.

If you want to feel sharper and less anxious

This is an area of peptide therapy that doesn't get enough attention. Semax and Selank are both neuropeptides meaning they work directly on brain chemistry rather than hormones or tissue.

Semax sharpens focus, improves memory, and has neuroprotective properties. Selank reduces anxiety and supports mood stability by modulating serotonin and GABA. Together, as our Cognitive Boost blend, they address both sides of what most people mean when they say they want to think more clearly the performance side and the stress side. Methylene Blue and Dihexa are additional options for clients with more specific cognitive or neuroprotective goals.

Oxytocin also lives in this category for clients using it as part of a broader mental wellness or hormone balance protocol.

If aging is the thing you're paying attention to

Epithalon is a peptide we're genuinely excited about. It stimulates the pineal gland, supports melatonin regulation, and has been studied for its effects on telomere length which is about as close to working on the biology of aging as you can get. We pair it with GHK-Cu, a copper peptide that drives collagen, elastin, and tissue regeneration, in our Glow Blend. The combination addresses both how your cells age and how that aging shows up visibly in your skin and hair.

Thymosin Alpha-1 is the immune-focused option in this space supporting T-cell function and overall immune resilience, which matters more the older you get.

If your goals are more personal

PT-141 supports sexual function in both men and women by working through the central nervous system rather than the vascular system. It addresses desire and arousal at the neurological level, which makes it different from other options in this category. It's a conversation we have often, and one we take seriously.

The honest answer to "which peptide is right for me"

It depends on you specifically your health history, your labs, your goals, and what else is going on in your body.

Most of our clients end up on a protocol that combines two or more peptides because real goals are rarely one-dimensional.

The consultation is where that conversation happens. We'll review everything, ask the right questions, and tell you exactly what we'd recommend and why.
